Speakers

Karen Smyth is an Assistant Principal Officer in the Legal Services Unit and is primarily involved in the examination of applications for first registration. She holds an LL.B (Hons) in Law and a number of postgraduate diplomas. She qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and has significant experience in conveyancing. She worked as a solicitor in private practice for many years and then at the Law Society of Ireland, before joining the Civil Service.
