“What is it all about?” is a question every grinding practitioner asks from time to time. Is it possible to actually answer that question? And by whom? Well, this session is about you. About you and your career choice? Yes, and about you and much much more.
It’s an opportunity for you to stop and take stock, perhaps at a level you haven’t tried before. It isn’t as much about “put on your own mask first” as about “take off your own mask”, presented by a remarkable speaker.

What To Expect

At a time when we, life, has never been more full-on, under Flor’s conductorship we reach into where matters most – ourselves - where we deserve to know the answers to questions like these:

• What career would you choose if you were given a second chance with the life experiences you have now had?

Flor Madden could very well be described as a man who has lived a full life, so far at least, because if what he’s achieved to date is anything to go by, he has plenty left to do! Here is his vocational and professional journey thus far:

• RDS Trustee, Council Member, Member of the Foundation Board and Chairman of the Equestrian Committee.
• Board Member and Trustee of the Alfred Beit Foundation [Russborough House]
• Previous Appointments include Executive Chairman of the Workplace Conference Series, Chairman of the Maynooth University Advisory Board and Board Member of the Irish Osteoporosis Society.
• The first non-medic to receive the Royal College of Surgeons Alumni President’s Award for his contribution as Games Planner to the Special Olympics in Ireland.
• In 2014 Flor was conferred with a Papal Knighthood by Sean Cardinal Brady being admitted to the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre at the rank of Knight [KHS] and subsequently to the rank of Knight Commander [KCHS].
• Within Second Level Education, Flor has been a member of the Geography, Business and Religious Education Departments and is currently the Head of Chaplaincy, the Director of the Pastoral Programme and Assistant Principal [AP 1].
• A serial entrepreneur, he has set up and sold several businesses providing a variety of services for private education, printing, online hotel reservations, wedding organiser, recruitment, event management and consultancy as well as establishing the infra-structure for Covid Testing in Dublin, Cork & Shannon Airports
