‘COVID-19 Specific National Protocol for Employers and Workers’

With immediate effect, COVID-19 has imposed yet another raft of obligations on the workplace, and this time on both employers and workers alike. Certain defined:

  • “pre-return to work steps” should be put in place and completed by both employers and workers” before returning to work, and
  • separate steps are also prescribed for both to follow when at work, such as putting in place and following a formal Response Plan, updated Risk Assessment, Policies & Procedures, and Prevention & Control measures.

This practical webinar details the Government’s “Return to Work Safely Protocol”, developed as the result of a collaborative effort by the Health and Safety Authority (HSA), the Health Services Executive (HSE) and the Department of Health.

It is designed to support employers and workers to put measures in place that will prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace, as the economy begins to slowly open up following the temporary closure of most businesses during the worst phase of the current pandemic.
